On Friday, NHS Confederation released a report authored by CF advisor Sir Chris Ham. The report – Accountability and Autonomy in the NHS in England: Priorities for Hewitt Review – assessed progress in the development of integrated care systems (ICSs), relative to changes proposed in an earlier report from the NHS Confederation, Governing the Health and Care System.
Accountability and Autonomy reviews progress in both the ‘authorising environment’ for ICSs and within ICSs themselves, and sets out a number of priorities for the ongoing Hewitt Review into oversight and governance of ICSs.
