At CF we value and support LGBTQ+ people and our LGBTQ+ team members year round, but we especially enjoyed celebrating them during Pride month in June. The main focus of our Pride month celebrations this year was education, with our celebration team providing daily bitesize knowledge and spotlights. We learned about the full meaning of the LGBTQIA2S+ acronym, the history of Pride, and discussed the discrimination and hardship LGBTQ+ people have faced in the past and still do today.
With healthcare at our core, we also spent time thinking about how health and care differs for LGBT people and the work being done to address these inequalities. One of our colleagues produced a snapshot which we shared via LinkedIn and Twitter and hope will educate those within our industry and inspire action.
We finished our celebrations with a Pride party in the office enjoying rainbow treats, and decorations and even a real rainbow outside.
